Osher River Oriyah 

Osher River Oriyah is a multi-sensory healer who facilitates your soul’s authentic expression and your ability to heal. She has been practising expressive and healing arts, as well as sound healing in New Zealand and overseas for over twenty-five years, as an expression of her vision for the co-creation of a world with greater love, peace, beauty and harmony. 

A significant turning point in her life was training with medicine women and the Institute of Indigenous Arts, where she learned the healing applications of sound, movement, ceremony and creative freedom. It was then that she opened up to the authentic expression of her soul, which contributed significantly to her healing from PTSD, depression and anxiety. She was also reminded of her gift – a voice that can channel, bridge dimensions, and heal. 

Osher has been gifted with a special relationship with the elemental kingdom and dolphin realm, as well as with angelic beings that sing through her, sharing their wisdom and medicine with humanity. The land, dolphins, whales and elemental beings began channeling through her in various ways. She realised that these were instruments for healing.


Further studies, with the Academy of Sound and Spirit in Israel, expanded her knowledge and skills, transformed her life, and healed deep ancestral wounds making it possible for her to share the beauty of her ancestors. Working with clients and groups for over 25 years, her healing skills, workshops, retreats and presentations have opened hearts throughout the world, including Mana Retreat (NZ) and numerous healing arts festivals.

Since 1998, Osher has created original interactive performances ("Memories form Palenque"; "Gifts of a Wild Nature"; "Landscapes of the Heart"; "Healing Sounds of the Heart" with Annie Jameson;  "Healing Songs for Heart & Soul") and short plays ("The Song Within"; "Show Me the Way to Simha"; "Wishing Whales") using storytelling, poetry, sound and movement. 

She is the author of "The Butterfly Child" and "Sacred Feminine," and the co-creator with Karen Hunter of the music books and albums "Little People Groove" and “Fairy – In Joyful Love of Nature." Osher lives on Waiheke Island, New Zealand with her family and beloved cat.

A spiritual mentor, an international speaker and teacher, author,  ceremonial artist of storytelling, song and dance, mother and healer, she has trained in sound healing, dance, bodywork (CMT, Alive and Well, California, 1999), and other modalities.

Osher has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and English (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, 1996) and Master of Arts degree in Expressive Arts Therapies & Spiritual Healing  (Lesley University, Boston, 2000)

Since 1997, Osher has also trained as a teacher in soul choreography and sound, movement healing with the Institute of Indigenous Arts, artistic director -- Sahn Nicole Hill.

Since 2015, training with the Academy of Sound and Spirit in Israel.
